Trudy Cox

Trudy has been involved with dog training for over 35 years, beginning with classes on brain development and the physical structure and appearance of the K9 that she took in Australia.
After taking those classes, she was hooked and had to know everything there was to know about dogs. She had her own training school in Australia, and then in the US for many years. Once in the United States, she became interested in methodologies around training the search and rescue K9, in particular the disaster search K9.
She has taught disaster classes for over 20 years both at the local, state and national level, and has helped train dogs with Northwest Disaster Search Dogs since the early 1990s.

Trudy is NDSD’s current training officer.Screen Shot 2018-04-01 at 10.11.43 AM
